At Black Rock Animal Hospital, we provide complete health care, including worming, flea prevention, vaccinations, and any necessary ongoing prescriptions to keep them healthy and happy. We keep up-to-date on the latest changes in recommended vaccinations and disease-risk, so we can tailor a plan that will work for your pet for many years to come.

VACCINATION

Vaccinations are tailored to meet your animal’s needs. We aim to reduce over vaccinating but still keep your animal safe from preventable diseases.

MICROCHIP

Your pet can be microchipped during your consultation.

PARASITE CONTROL

We are happy to advise on the best preventatives for your pet taking into consideration:

  • How many and what animals you have in your household.  Cats are very good at bringing fleas into the house especially when they wander around the neighbourhood. We advise different products in a household with both cats and dogs.

  • If you swim your dog at the beach then we recommend an oral preparation over a spot on due to the risk of it not being absorbed correctly.

  • If you travel to high risk areas this is important with paralysis ticks.

FOODS

  • Prescription food - we stock prescription foods for those pets with medical conditions that require treatment with a chosen food.

  • We also stock DELICATE CARE which is an Australian produced and designed food made with quality ingredients.

  • If we don’t have something in stock then we will order it for you.
