COVID-19 Essential service update

COVID-19 Essential service update

With the recent closures of some non-essential services we have been concerned that this would at some point involve veterinarians.

On Friday night we were notified by the Australian Veterinary Association that we are now classified as an essential service. Phew

SO WE ARE OPEN FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.

This does not mean we will not have restricted services.

We need to strictly enforce social distancing and thus we have implemented changes to ensure our clients and staff remain protected.

Please:

-        DO NOT come to clinic if you are unwell or self-isolating

-        Only 1 owner per consult

-        Order and pay for medications and food via phone so you are only collecting

-        Phone to make appointments DO NOT come in to make appointments

-        We are spreading out appointments to limit the number of people in the clinic at one time and to allow sanitising between each client. This means we may need to delay non-essential visits like vaccinations. This is ok. Please understand sick animals must be seen immediately, vaccinations can wait a few days or a week.

In the future we may have to reduce or stop elective procedures. We may have to delay vaccinations.

But if your pet is unwell we will be here to continue to provide the best possible care.

Please also note that the phones are struggling with the volume of calls and everyone being at home. If you can not get through on the phones. Send us an email asking us to call you.

Current clients can email with food and/ or medications requests.

Thank you
