Welcome to the Black Rock Animal Hospital, from all our Vets and Vet Nurses.

You will see Black Rock Animal Hospital on your left as you drive down Balcombe Road towards the Clocktower, just as you reach the shopping centre - “The Blue Clinic with the Cow!”. There are 2 parks at the front, and additional parking is available behind the clinic. (See the “Find us” page for a map)

The Black Rock Animal Hospital has been serving the needs of the pets of the Bayside area for more than 30 years, and has always been in the ownership of the vets who work there. Dr. Damian McShane has been here since 1995, and Dr. Michael Heath and Dr. Lisa Sander since 2000.

We are a fully equipped Veterinary Hospital, and can provide you with every service you need for the health of your pets, from preventative health management, through to full illness investigation and surgery.

Our nurses are very experienced. All have finished their study to certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, and their average experience is over 5 years.

We pride ourselves on getting it right for people. We have a great continuity of care in cases of illnesses and all the vets are up to date with all cases. You can be sure that when you set a request in motion it will be followed seamlessly to a conclusion, even day-to-day issues like chasing up that particular food you need.

Our clinic opening hours are:

Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 7.00pm

Saturday: 8.00am – 1.00pm

Sunday: 11.00am – 1.00pm
