CLINIC TOUR

Reception

Our reception area has plenty of room for your pets. There is a full range of premium and prescription pet foods, and plenty of collars and leads for your pets. There are plenty of toys for environment enrichment.

We have a full range of shampoos and grooming aids, including all-natural organic products.

You are welcome to pop in any time to use the scales, and the nurses will update your file to plot your pet’s weight change over time.

Consulting Rooms

You will usually be seen in the main consulting room, but at times the nurses will use the second room for nail trims, post-op check-ups, suture removals, and discharge appointments.

Surgical Theatre

This is where we perform all our general anaesthetics and surgical procedures. The surgical table is completely adjustable, and is lit by a triple surgical light. Anaesthesia is induced by intravenous injection via an IV catheter, and then maintenance is by inhalation anaesthesia. The anaesthetic machine uses isoflurane which is the safest anaesthetic available to pets.

They are monitored by oesophageal stethoscope, and by pulse oximetry, which measures the blood oxygen concentration and heart rate. Most pets are maintained on intravenous fluids during their surgery as well. There is an x-ray viewer to allow us to refer to x-rays during surgery.

Hospital Ward for Dogs

The ward is heated for comfort. It is separate from the cats. The dogs cannot see one another, removing one potential source of agitation. Our new cages are all stainless steel allowing for the highest quality infection control.

We have a window into the room, so that patients can be observed in recovery without having to be disturbed repeatedly by people entering their room.

Hospital Ward for Cats

The cats are kept separate from the dogs, again in stainless steel cages where they can’t see one another and become agitated. The cats are all kept on clean fluffy fleece blankets for maximum comfort.

Hydrobath Courtyard

This is a great place to bath your dogs without getting drenched, and soaking your house in the process. It is a secure area just around to the right of the entry to the clinic, and very comfortable for both you and your dog.
