VET NURSESAmanda CelentaneAmanda has been a vet nurse for 5 years, the last two of those at our practices. She has completed all the veterinary nursing courses, up to Certificate IV, but is still always looking for more courses to extend her knowledge, recently finishing the Hills Course in Veterinary Nutrition. You will find her extremely capable, and when she takes on your tasks you can rely on them being completed. While having no pets herself she seems to find a steady stream of friends’ animals in need of our advice and attention, always looking after the welfare of her furrier friends. Monika RichterMonika’s family pets have been coming to us for years as patients, but Monika started with us a few years ago as a helper on Saturdays. She has now progressed through to 2 years of full time veterinary nursing with the practice. During this time she has excelled in the Veterinary Nursing Courses and amazes us with the thoroughness of her projects. She will be leaving us in 2009 to commence her University Studies in Paramedic Nursing, but will be with us as much as we can get her. She adopted two of our kittens last year, and Oscar and Felix continue to bring joy to her and her family. Jo HouseJo has been with us for more than 2 years. At her previous practice she was mainly at reception, so has a great deal of experience in giving advice for owners. Since coming to us Jo has been trained fully as a veterinary nurse, and is experienced now in all aspects of the position, including anaesthetic monitoring, surgical assistance, and radiology practices. Jo can bring a very practical aspect to her advice to you, as she is the experienced owner of two Alaskan Malamutes, Kobe and Mia, and 2 adult human children as well! Narelle TrotterNarelle has been a vet nurse for many years, and was a major part of integrating new veterinary software and “wellness” management into practices in Australia. She is enjoying now being back into the day-to-day nursing involvement, and has been with us now for over 2 years. Narelle oversees the puppy classes carried out in the practices, and takes the classes at Black Rock herself. Her pets at home are of the much more exotic variety, including a large young female Diamond Python, who often comes along to our clinic get togethers to entertain the kids! Jennifer BowesJenn has also been with us for over 2 years now. She has a long experience as a vet nurse, and has completed the full course in veterinary nursing, right through to Certificate IV. She can give you plenty of information to complement the treatment you receive from the vets, and is keen to make sure that all the extra bases are covered, such as correct nutrition. |
